Carving out time to go to the gym each day can be challenging. But with creative thinking and household items, you can turn your everyday chores into easy to implement at-home workouts! Check out our tips for effortlessly building workouts into your daily routine.

Morning Routine
Incorporate a quick morning workout session before you start your day. Something as simple as adding a Sun Salutation flow into your morning routine can help you start your day off relaxed and ready to take on the day’s tasks. Sun Salutations tone, stretch, and flex your muscles first thing in the morning and help you organize yourself and focus your thoughts while everyone is fast asleep. The best part about it? You only need 10-30 minutes, making this easy for anyone to add into their schedule.

Build onto your current morning routine by incorporating a few exercises while you’re getting ready as well. For example, throw in 20 calf raises while you’re doing your hair, do a wall sit while you’re brushing your teeth, or add in a few tricep dips while you’re preparing your breakfast.

Mid-day Workout
Not a morning person? Mid-day workouts can help clear your mind and prepare you for the rest of your day. Try adding in runch—a running lunch-- or a brisk walk for 20-30 minutes before you eat lunch. It’s a quick and effective workout that’s easy to implement into your current routine and will help energize you for the rest of the day.

Don’t have time to leave your desk? Try adding in a few stretches several times throughout the day. It’s a great way to sneak in some quick exercise that doesn’t require lots of space. Chair squats, knee bends, and chest stretches are all excellent workouts that you can do from the convenience of your desk.

Evening Exercise
You don’t need fancy equipment to workout at home-- just take a look around your house! Doing laundry? Use your laundry detergent and fabric softener as weights to do curls and throw in a few squats when transporting your full laundry hamper. Helping the kids with their homework? Plank as they solve the problems. Are the kids watching TV or playing games? Squeeze in a 30 minute routine like this one!

Using the equipment you already own—your body and household items—you can have a great workout that fits easily into your daily routine! How else do you incorporate your daily exercise into your busy lifestyle?
